What a busy day today!
In the morning, Mr Chan called and asked to see any of the two OPS students. So I went up with Melissa to see Mr Chan. At first I tot nothing much will happen. But when we reached there, he requested us to do a report for Cheers and Giordano. He gave us a deadline of 3pm today.
The worst part is for Cheers is to consolidate from April 2006 to January 2007 which is a lot. What he wans is a graph for daily sales, weekly sales and monthly sales. Plus an average sales per customer and average item purchase per customer. We still have to summarize and write a report of 2 pages abt it, give reasons for good and bad sales.
As for Giordano, is almost the same but only for month of November, December and January as its newly open. So we split the work up. I did the report for Cheers and Melissa did Giordano.
I have a hard time doing it as there are lots to find in the C drive. The worst is one of the file for November 2006 cannot be open. It means i got to retyped all the data. Luckily, we kept their daily sales report in the cabinet and file it accordingly to date. I quickly get one of the other two OPS to help me with it. Its really a bad day for me. the conputer hang twice while doing the daily sales report for November. In the end i did not make it, I just submitted whatever I've done till 3pm.
After this whole thing, I went for my lunch. I ate Mac. So fulfilling! Once i finish my lunch, I went to help Cheers becos their goods came. Its eazy to recognise, their truck is the same as NTUC- Fairprice as Cheers is under them. Almost all the goods are supplied by them.
In Cheers, we have to check their invoice tally with the physical stocks. Then we unpack the goods into their respective places. If there are leftovers, we got to store them into the storeroom. By the time we finish everything, its abt time to go home. Yeah!!! Its 6pm.
This is what OPS life is abt. Hope you guy will noe in retail line, its not eazy to handle. Next time when you are chossing for your major in biz mgnt, think thrice.
